The Napa Valley ag preerve in its inception was quite controversial.  The clip below tells of the two different sides by my father Louis P Martini and John Daniels of Inglenook.  Interesting piece of history.  The preserve went in and has since protected the valley from masive housing tracks and allowed the wine industry to thrive.  https://diva.sfsu.edu/collections/sfbatv/bundles/227981
